Resolution, mixed media on canvas, 2017, 48" x 48' - Displayed at Virginia MOCA as part of the New Waves 2018 exhibit, this piece represents a period of a departure in my work from floral themes toward abstraction. It takes its name from the text on the paper layered into the paint, which was part of a 19th century French nun's study book. It refers to our constant search for resolution to life's complicated situations.
